Spend Anime Zero skill-tree tokens on the weapon you intend to use and the weakness blocking your next clear. Open that weapon's tree, choose an available stat node and pay the displayed token cost. Retest the run before spending the rest of the balance.

Select the correct weapon and node
Return to the lobby and open the intended weapon's skill tree. Check its name and available tokens, then read an available node's effect and cost. Confirm the upgrade only after you know which weapon receives it. Individual weapon progression makes this check useful when you switch to a new pull.
If the node is unavailable, inspect the requirements shown in the tree. Avoid assuming that a branch can be purchased in any order or that unused tokens on another weapon can pay the cost.
Spend toward the failure you observed
Use the last run to choose the broad direction. Attack and Critical are damage-related paths; Defense and Speed deserve consideration when survival or handling is the problem. Read the actual node effect before treating the branch name as a guarantee.

Verify the improvement before buying more
Enter the same act and difficulty after the purchase. Check the outcome you wanted to improve, such as finishing the boss or reducing avoidable hits. If the problem remains, decide whether the next change is another node or a better attack window.
