Anime Zero Ability Rotation: Attacks, Skills and Ultimates
Combine Anime Zero basic attacks and skills, track the active weapon, and check evolution and meter conditions before using an ultimate.
An Anime Zero ability rotation combines basic attacks, regular skills and an available ultimate while leaving room to avoid damage. There is no single numeric sequence that fits every weapon: attack area, movement and the encounter determine when a skill is useful.
The Cataclysm demonstration below shows grouping enemies and combining sword skills. Observe the positioning as well as the buttons used.
Start with the attack you can land
Each equipped weapon supplies basic attacks and three regular skills with cooldowns. Face the target and use a skill whose range and shape fit its position. Against a group, an area attack is useful when the enemies are within its area; firing it before they arrive wastes that opening.
Use basic attacks when they can connect safely. If the boss is preparing an attack or several enemies surround you, create space rather than remaining close just to keep attacking. Resume a skill sequence when both the ability and your position are suitable.
Keep track of the active kit
Switching changes the active weapon and its abilities. Pressing the same skill key after a switch can move you differently, so learn both kits before trying rapid transitions. A second weapon is useful when it addresses the encounter, not merely because all your first weapon's skills were used at once.
| Condition | Action | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Enemies are grouped within range | Use a suitable area skill | Make the attack connect with the group |
| Skills are unavailable | Use safe basic attacks or reposition | Avoid standing exposed while waiting |
| The target changes position | Adjust your angle before the next ability | Reduce missed attacks |
| You switch weapons | Confirm the active kit | Use the intended skill rather than the previous kit's sequence |
Use the ultimate when both conditions are met
Evolution unlocks the weapon's ultimate, and the ultimate meter must also be ready. The demonstrated keyboard input is G. If it does not activate, inspect those two conditions instead of assuming the regular ability rotation is broken.
Test a rotation in a familiar run, then adjust the one step that misses or exposes you. The combat controls page is a quick input reference; boss strategy focuses on choosing an opening against a dangerous target.
Use the live mode and reward panels in the official Anime Zero experience to confirm the current requirements for the run you are planning.
