Anime Zero Dungeon Modes

Last updated 2026-10-05Unofficial player article

Choose an Anime Zero mode by act clears, wave survival or target protection, then select a difficulty you can complete reliably.

Choose an Anime Zero dungeon mode and difficulty according to the objective you want to complete. Story is an act-based clear, Infinite tests successive-wave survival, and Defend requires protecting a target. Surviving personally is not enough to succeed in every mode.

The gameplay below compares Story encounters with Infinite-style play. Inspect the selected lobby mode before applying advice from one run to another.

Anime Zero Story and Infinite gameplayObserve the difference between act completion and successive-wave combat.

Compare the three objectives

Anime Zero modes and the objective to watch
ModeGoalPractical reason to choose it
StoryClear an act's encounters and ending bossPractice a bounded route or pursue its displayed rewards
InfiniteSurvive successive wavesTest sustained combat and how far the loadout can progress
DefendProtect the target from enemiesPractice intercepting threats while tracking the objective's condition

These reasons are practical recommendations based on the objectives. They do not establish a universal best resource rate. Check the rewards shown for the selected run if you are pursuing a particular material.

Choose difficulty after choosing the goal

Start with a setting you can complete consistently. A higher difficulty is useful to test when you understand the route and your build handles the easier encounter. If the attempt repeatedly fails, compare the point of failure before changing both the mode and loadout at once.

For farming, reliable completion is a better starting point than selecting the hardest option solely because another player does. For practice, choose the mode that exposes the skill you want to learn: boss openings, longer wave survival or objective protection.

Diagnose failure by the right health or objective

If Story ends at the boss, review ability timing and positioning. If Infinite becomes overwhelming after several waves, examine sustained survival and when enemies surround you. If Defend fails while your character remains alive, check whether the protected target was destroyed.

Use the dungeon guide for the overall run loop and boss strategy for dangerous attack windows. Keeping the objective clear makes the next upgrade decision more specific than simply asking for a stronger build.

Use the live mode and reward panels in the official Anime Zero experience to confirm the current requirements for the run you are planning.
